Brand
Re-branded newspaper with "what's next" theme embedded in content, points of entry, next-day promotions, marketing.

Service
Created customer service box as standing feature daily, with promotional space for advertising content promotion.



What is the most innovative, successful or noteworthy thing you have done on readership that you think other papers might learn from or want to emulate?
Redesign emphasis on local news.



What is the most persuasive indication you have that your readership efforts are producing results?
Home delivery up consistently since redesign's execution in January 2003.

Readership development is a process of continuous improvement.

Spend more time with readers gauging their reactions to specific improvements and changes in their newspaper.
