Bob LeBailly is a Research Associate at the Media Management Center and the market research faculty member for Medill's Graduate Magazine Publishing Project. He also assists Medill's Graduate Media Management Project with their survey research. In addition to his teaching, he co-authored a report of minority viewer's perception of local TV news.

LeBailly has worked part or full-time at Medill since 1987. Prior to joining Medill, LeBailly worked at the Center for Urban Affairs and Policy Research (now the Institute for Policy Research) at Northwestern, where he worked on many survey research projects, including a study examining the impact news coverage has on fear of crime.

LeBailly has a B.A. in sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an M.A. in sociology from Northwestern University, and completed all course work and was admitted as a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at Northwestern.
